What is a Webcast?
The term Webcast is used to describe the ability to use the Internet/Web to broadcast live or delayed audio and/or video transmissions, much like traditional television and radio broadcasts. Viewing Webcasts requires having an appropriate video viewing application on your computer.

What are the computer requirements for me to be able to access a National City Webcast?
National City uses MS Live Meeting to broadcast Webcasts. The requirements to access a Webcast run by MS Live Meeting are:
  • A computer with access to the Internet to view the visual portion of the event.
  • A functioning sound card and speakers or headphones for your PC.
  • If you are unable to connect to the audio portion of the broadcast through the internet, you can dial into the audio over a traditional phone line (while viewing the presentation on the internet). Dial in numbers are provided for each webcast in the participant instructions emailed to each registrant and posted on http://www.nationalcity.com/seminars/ the day of the webcast.
  • Testing your computer:
    1. To test your computer for the proper configuration click on the following link: http://esd.placeware.com/wintest
    2. If prompted, install and run Live Meeting Software.
    3. You should see a Live Meeting Console with 3 revolving slides. If you are able to see all three slides, your test has been successful.
    4. If you are not able to see the slides or if your system is stalled, please contact Event Support (see below).
What should I do if I have technical problems when I try to test my computer OR access the Webcast?
If you are experiencing difficulties testing your computer OR accessing a Webcast, contact MS Live Meeting Event Support at 1-800-893-8779 (International calls: +1- 971-544-3222), or you can e-mail Live Meeting Event Support at eventsup@microsoft.com.

Is there a fee for a Webcast?
All of National City's Webcasts are FREE unless there is a notation by the Webcast description noting that there is a cost.

Can I invite a co-worker or colleague to attend a Webcast?
Yes, please feel free to invite others who you feel would be interested in attending a National City Webcast. National City provides a "Tell-An-Associate" function (under the "Registration" link) with each Webcast description.

Is there a registration deadline for the Webcast?
Yes, the registration date is noted for each Webcast. Pre-registration allows National City to communicate to you via e-mail the pertinent information you need to login/dial-in to the Webcast in advance of the date of the event.

How do I know if my registration was accepted? Will I receive a confirmation?
You will know that you successfully registered for a National City Webcast if you receive a "Thank you" message on your computer monitor after you click the "Submit Registration" button. This message will inform you that you will receive an e-mail with detailed login/dial-in instructions a few days prior to the Webcast. If you register after the noted registration deadline, you will not receive this message or the e-mail with detailed login/dial-in instructions. Instead, the "Thank you" message will include the login/dial-in instructions.

Is there a way to access the Webcast if I missed the registration date?
If you miss the noted registration deadline, you can still attend the Webcast. When you click the "Learn more" button associated with the Webcast you want to attend, instead of having an option to register for the event, you will automatically receive a message on your monitor that includes the detailed login/dial-in instructions for the Webcast.

I registered for the event and received the "Thank you" for registering message on my monitor, but I did not receive the instructional e-mail with information telling me how to access the Webcast.
Your instructional e-mail from National City may have been captured by your company's spam patrol/monitoring software. If you do not receive the National City instructional e-mail two days prior to the Webcast, check with your company's Information Technology department to see if the e-mail may have been captured. National City sends Webcast e-mails from the following address: National City Seminars [NationalCity@email.rcs03.com] To ensure that you receive future Webcast related e-mail correspondence, event details and login/dial-in instructions, it is highly recommended that you ask your Information Technology department to add this address to your "Safe Senders List".

Is there a way to access the Webcast if I did not receive the confirmation e-mail with the access information?
If you did not receive the instructional e-mail from National City, you can still access the Webcast by logging onto www.NationalCity.com/seminars and clicking on the "Learn More" link associated with the Webcast you want to join. Here you will find the login/dial-in information.

I signed up for a Webcast but was not able to join in on the day of the event. Can I access a replay of the Webcast or view/print off the presentation?
National City Webcasts are archived for 90 days after the actual event date. You can find available archives on our Website in the "Archived Webcasts" category.
If you computer meets the MS Live Meeting recording playback requirements, you can listen to and view the recorded Webcast. MS Live Meeting recording playback requirements are:
  • Windows Media Player 6.4, 7.0, 7.1, 9
  • 100Kb/sec
  • Not supported on Mac
If your computer does not meet these requirements, you can still download the PowerPoint presentation and a transcript of the Webcast.

Are all of National City's Webcasts approved by AFP for continuing CTP/CMM credits?
National City seminars that are approved by AFP for credit are noted with the AFP logo.
For more information on AFP Certification, visit the AFP website at www.AFPonline.org, contact the AFP Certification department at 301.907.2862 or send an e-mail to AFP@AFPOnline.org

How do I obtain certification documentation for AFP approved Webcasts?
Upon completion of an AFP approved Webcast, all registered attendees will receive a recap e-mail that will include a Web link to an AFP certification document. This document may be used as proof to AFP that you completed the approved seminar.
